MOTEL SIX

A running playlist featuring six bands, loud drums, and dingy rock guitars to crush those miles ahead of you.

I found myself listening to a lot of The Velveteers. I loved Demi Demitro's voice and guitar screaming through the speakers. And the drums on this album are so, so, good.

At the same time, I'm taking Questlove's Masterclass. Questlove does this exercise where he'd listen to a song and try to find a great follow-up. This never stops for him. He’s always doing that.

So I picked a few tracks from Nightmare Daydream and found their follow-up. I limited myself to a set of six bands total so I'd complete the task and help theme the sound of this run.

I sequenced these tracks to help give you a bit of a boost when you need it, but this one plays well on Random.

This is what crushing an 8K sounds like. Should be an interesting run. Cheers! 🍻
